Your WordPress blog has two parts to be backup taken. First part is wordpress blog folders which contain wp core files, theme, plugins, images, java scripts, scripts etc. Second part is wordpress wp database. This contains your all posts, comments, comments meta details etc. You can’t backup both in single method to restore easily when ever you need. You should take backups for both of them in separate methods.

How to take Backup wordpress blog through Hosting Control panel -Method 3.wmv

This wordpress tutorials helps you to take backup of wordpress blog through hosting control panel (cPanel). You can’t schedule the backup through this process. You may use this backup method to take backup of all your contents including databases, if you use full backup option. You can’t restore the full backup file through control panel. But this full backup method is very useful for moving (migrating hosting account) your blog from one server to another. So better use partial backup. I am having both full backup and partial backup options in my hostgator control panel. If you use partial backup option you can take backup of your home directory located in your hosting server.

How To Backup And Restore A WordPress Blog

In this video, I’ll show you how to backup (which should be done regularly, in any case, so that you don’t risk losing all of your hard work) a WordPress (hosted) blog and move it to another domain/ server (host).

This is the first in a new series of videos I’ll be doing about WordPress just like the ones already on my channel. I had recently received a comment from a viewer who was confused about how different the WordPress admin looked. The viewer is absolutely right, the admin has changed tremendously since I originally made the videos.

I’ll be making the whole series, from the beginning to end of setting up a new blog, within the next few weeks while I’m actually setting up a new blog that I’m going to be launching.

This method shows how to take backup of your wordpress blog (not database) through an automated (schedule) backup software. You can also restore the same files through this syncbackSE software. Method 1 to Backup WordPress Blog Folders Using FTP and Restore – WP Backup Video Seires Part-2

This tutorial helps you to take backup of your wordpress blog ( which was installed in your public_html(root) ) folders & files through FTP client software. Here i am using FireFTP, a firefox addon, FTP client, to access my blog. I show you how to backup and restore it again in your blog.

This tutorial does not show you how to take database backup. It will be discussed in next parts of this backup video post series.
